•A single GUARDIAN® 200 tank installed against the rear bulkhead of the cargo compartment provides approximately a 50% increase in range/endurance.

•Two GUARDIAN® 185 tanks installed against the rear bulkhead of the cargo compartment provide approximately a 100% increase in range/endurance.

The internal auxiliary fuel tanks of both systems are crashworthy, self-sealing and single-point pressure refuelable simultaneously with the helicopter's main tanks. Two personnel can install or remove either system in about 10 minutes per tank.

The CEFS includes components that permit a Black Hawk equipped with an Automatic Fuel Management System (AFMS) and External Stores Support System (ESSS) to carry up to four (4) CEFS tanks on the wing pylons. Each CEFS tank holds approximately 200 gallons of fuel and is crashworthy, self-sealing and single-point pressure refuelable simultaneously with the helicopter's main tanks. Each CEFS tank can be installed or removed by two personnel in approximately 10 minutes using a portable ground handling device.
